I have Bachelors Degree in English linguistics and literature. I am working as a teacher for ten years. I am very patient with my students. I make learning process easier and interesting to my students.

I am a current student at SMU's Simmons School of Education and have 2+ years of experience tutoring at a K-12 level. I am enthusiastic about teaching at a primary and secondary level and have a rich understanding of the core subject areas at these grade levels. I am willing to provide thorough understanding to students needing deeper engagement and also challenge students in a hurry to learn through concise teaching practices. I am very passionate about US History and Geography, i feel they are important subjects to fully grasp. My name is Colm Murphy, currently I am a high school junior in a dual credit college program with a weighted GPA of 4.12. I usually lean more towards reading and writing prep, along with social studies. I have a lot of experience in social studies, I’ve currently taken AP Human Geography in which I got a 5 on the AP test, I’ve also taken College US History where I got 100s across the board. In addition, I am currently taking Dual credit Government along with the Gov AP test and Dual Credit English. I think I’d be a good help to any younger students in need of assistance.

I pretty much breathe English. I've been writing seriously since middle school, and I've won a number of writing contests over the years. In May 2019 I graduated from the University of North Texas with a BA in English and a concentration in creative writing. I particularly enjoy revising/editing stories and essays but can also help with Literary Analysis, Composition, etc as well as most standardized tests and middle school/high school subjects.
